Full-Stack Engineer

Full-Time · Remote

Build and ship end-to-end features across our platform — from intuitive client-facing interfaces to robust backend services powering cross-border tax workflows.

Key Responsibilities

—Design and implement full-stack features using Next.js, React, and Node.js
—Build and maintain RESTful APIs and real-time data pipelines with Supabase
—Collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into polished user experiences
—Write clean, tested, and well-documented code across the entire stack
—Optimize application performance, security, and scalability
—Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices

Requirements

—3+ years of experience with React/Next.js and Node.js
—Strong proficiency in TypeScript
—Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
—Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Vercel, AWS, or GCP)
—Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Backend Engineer — Data & Integrations

Full-Time · Remote

Own the data layer and third-party integrations that power White Owl — from document processing pipelines to tax authority API connections.

Key Responsibilities

—Architect and build scalable backend services and microservices
—Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and migrations in PostgreSQL
—Build secure integrations with third-party APIs (payment processors, document services, tax authority systems)
—Implement data processing pipelines for document ingestion and analysis
—Develop robust authentication, authorization, and audit logging systems
—Monitor system health, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure 99.9% uptime

Requirements

—4+ years of backend engineering experience
—Deep expertise in Node.js/TypeScript or Python
—Strong experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and message queues
—Experience designing and consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs
—Knowledge of security best practices and data privacy regulations

Backend Engineer — Platform & Infrastructure

Full-Time · Remote

Scale the infrastructure behind White Owl — build the systems that ensure reliability, security, and performance as we grow across jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

—Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and infrastructure as code
—Build and optimize real-time notification and messaging systems
—Implement end-to-end encryption and compliance-grade security controls
—Develop internal tooling for operations, analytics, and advisor management
—Lead performance profiling and optimization across backend services
—Contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmap planning

Requirements

—4+ years of backend or infrastructure engineering experience
—Strong experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration
—Proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js or Go
—Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Vercel)
—Understanding of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, GDPR) is a plus
